Poetry and creative nonfiction contests open today.

We're ready to read your creative nonfiction and your poetry. Head over to our submissions page and enter the Elinor Benedict Poetry Prize or the Thomas J. Hrushka Memorial Nonfiction Prize. Entry fee of $15.00 (for one essay or three poems) gets you a chance at the $1000 first prize and publication in Passages North, as well as a copy of the contest issue. Keep an eye on the site for interviews will our contest judges, Elena Passarello and Aimee Nezhukumatathil. (Contest closes to submissions on March 22, 2013. One or more Honorable Mentions may also be selected and published. Students of Northern Michigan University and friends of Passages North staff are not eligible.)
